Resplendence 2017

Vishwa Bharati Public School, Noida hosted its three day Annual Interschool Fest – “Resplendence 2017” in its school premises from 23rd to 25th August 2017.Resplendence is a medley of events where the students are given several opportunities to show their talent.

Over 1000 students from many eminent schools of Delhi/NCR region participated in Eight different events spread over the span of three days. The competition mainly targeted at providing a suitable platform for students to exhibit their creative streaks and explore diverse arenas in the process of shaping their personality.

The programme commenced on 23rd August 2017 with the lighting of the lamp . On this day three events were organised – Dab n’ Splash, Dhanvati Shambhunath AmbardarSanskrit Dramatic Monologue and Athletic Meet.

In order to promote the learning of Sanskrit language, an Interschool Sanskrit Dramatic Monologue Competition was organised.It was judged by eminent Sanskrit scholars MrMohitKumar and Dr Vinay Gopal Tripathi. The judges were highly impressed by the proficiency and confidence with which the students enacted. Seth AnandramJaipuria School won this event while DPS Noida and Khaitan School Noida bagged the second and third positions respectively. The judges addressed the gathering and encouraged everyone to appreciate Indian heritage and Sanskrit language.
Dab n’ Splash, an art competition, resulted in the creation of a myriad of innovative artworks sprouting out from the brilliant minds of the students. The competition was judged by Ms Mamta Bhat Pandey and Mr Tushar Ranjan Dash. There were various categories under this event .On theSpot Painting Competition , Vishwa Bharati Public School Noida grabbed the first prize , Somerville, Noida and VBPS , Noida won the second prize and the third prize.The second category under this was Painting on paper plate and the first position was bagged by Bal Bharati Public School with DAV Public School getting the third position . Painting with Geometrical design ,Indus Valley School won the first prize while Mother’s Global School and VBPS , Noida won the second and the third prizes respectively . Under the Meural On Paper event ,VBPS Noida bagged the first position with Somerville Noida and Somerville Delhi winning the second and third positions. The last category of this competition was Canvas Painting where DPS Noida grabbed the first position ,Kothari International the second and VBPS, Noida got the third position..
On the pen ultimate day of the Resplendence Economics Symposium, Mathematica and Face to Face competitions were held . The Economics Symposium saw 17 schools participating and was judged by Dr Prof. IC Dhingra and Mr ShadabZaheer ( Development Professional, Delloite) where VBPS , Noida stood 1stfollowed by a tie between Ryan International and Father Agnel School who stood 2nd. The best interjectors were from Somerville Noida , VBPS Greater Noida and Indus Valley School.
VBPS, Noida showed their acting prowess in the Face to Faceand were declared the winners, Somerville, Noida came IInd and DPS, Noida won the IIIrd prize.

The award for Best actor went to Mansi Awasthi from Somerville, Noida

Manipulative hands
, an event under Mathematica was held for students of classes 4 and 5Th where the fist position was bagged by VBPS, Noida followed by DPS , Noida who stood 2nd and Amity International School , Ghaziabad who came 3rd.

Three major events,Araghya- an Interschool Dance Competition, E-novators – Computer Competition and Ekanki – Hindi one act playwere held on the Final day of the three day fest.We had an eminent panel of judges to witness the event. For ARGHYA: An annual dance competition, we had with us the honorable Chief Guest Pandit Prateek ChaudhariJi to grace the occasion. The renowned judges for Araghya were world famous Kathak dancer KamiliniJi and the founder of TANVA Dance Ensemble Mr Kishore Sharma.

There were two categories under Araghya – Solo Classical and Group classical Dance. In the solo category Somerville, Noida bagged the first position. Cambridge School,Noida came second followed by Kothari International School Noida which came third.


In the group classical dance,Somerville Noida won first prize. DPS, Noida came second followed by Amity International MayurVihar in the third position.


The overall rolling trophy (Ustadmushtaq Ali Khan rolling trophy) was won by Somerville, Noida.


EKANKI – A Hindi one act play competition was judged by Ms Uma Rani Gupta(social worker) and Mr Vijay Mohan..
The first position was bagged by VBPS, Noida. Somerville, Noida came second and Indus Valley Public school won the third prize.


The award for Best actor went to Lakshita Chaddha of Indus Valley Public School Noida.


E–novators had six categories. The Mobile app Expert and the Web Rangers competition were judged by Ms Banani Ghosh . The next two competitions Emblazon and advertise here were judged by Ms Priyanka Dinodia. Mr Balaji Krishnamurthy was the judge for C++Programming Competition.


VBPS Ghaziabad won the first prize followed by Mayur School Noida in Emblazon.
In C++ programming , First position was bagged by Amity International , School MayurVihar with VBPS, Noida got the second prize.
In the Criss Cross Competiton,Somerville Noida came first and Cambridge Noida came second.
Advertise here, first position was won by VBPS, Noida followed by Somerville School, Noida in the second place.

In the last category Web Rangers, Vbps Noida came first with Indus Valley Public School bagging the second position .

The overall rolling trophy for E-novators was won by Somerville, Noid
