Earth Day at VBPS Noida
Vishwa Bharati Public School, Noida, organised ‘Harmonica-2017’- The World Earth Day Celebrations on 21st April 2017, in the school premises in association with Millennium India Education foundation under the aegis of Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India.
 
As ‘Harmonica’ stands for and showcases solidarity with environmental issues, the programmes were aimed at enhancing awareness among the student community. Participating teams from 21 schools in Noida and NCR region, contested in a myriad of competitions to show sensitivity and commitment in this global challenge.
 
The various Inter-School Competitions were based on the theme: Sustainable Earth.
 
‘Paper Capers – Craft work’ was opened to the students of class IV and V. The students basically folded and unfolded the paper to come up with a creative display that can hold. They were judged on originality, artistic beauty and relevance to the theme. ‘Song Of Earth—Group Song was organised for the students of classes VI – X. Students sang in such a manner that the songs actually become our anthems.
 
The third event was ‘Patterns of Universe – Making Mandala and was opened to the students of class IX – XII and their creative designs (mandalas) made a connection between our inner world and outer reality.
 
‘Wear Your attitude --- T-Shirt Painting was 4th event in which team of 2 students from the senior category classes IX – XII painted the plain white T-shirt (L size) provided by the host school. The hand painted T – Shirt were judged on originality, aesthetics and relevance to the theme. Each team put up a strong message to safe guard the environment.
 
The judges who picked the winners for all categories were- The dynamic artists ---Mr. Kumud Sinha – Graphic Artist, Jamia Milia Islamia, Mr Ravindra Tomer – Graphic Artist , IGNOU, Mr. Josh P S --- artist, Indian Institute of Art & Design and the Hindustani classical singers - Ms Tanushree Adhikari and Ms Poly Auddy.

Dr Manoj Patairiya, Director, CSIR-NISCAIR, Ministry Of Science & Technology, New Delhi, was the Chief guest of the occasion and in his address he actually led emphasis on the ways of conserving energy in our day to day life chores.

The Principal of the school Mrs. Rashmi Kakroo congratulated the teachers and student organizers and thanked the Guest and judges for sparing their valuable time for motivating the young learners.

Teams from Apeejay Noida, Bal Bharti Noida and host school (VBPS, Noida) bagged the first prize but the host school passed on the trophy to the next school ie. Lotus Valley International school, Noida. DPS Indirapuram, Khaitan Public school, Sahibabad, Gurukul – The school, Cambridge School, Noida, Assisi Convent school, Indus valley school Noida and teams from Apeejay Noida emerged the runners-up in all the categories.

FORMAL FAREWELL TO CLASS XII 2016-17:

Formal farewell ceremony was organized in Vishwa Bharati Public School Noida, on 15th Feb, 2017 in the school premises. During the Special Morning Assembly all the students of class XII received the memento from the Principal, Mrs. Rashmi Kakroo. She interacted with the outgoing batch and wished them good luck.

The Head Boy, Bilal Ashraf and Head Girl, Soumya Bhagat acknowledged and expressed their gratitude on behalf of all the class XII students.

A“Havan” was organized to invoke the blessings of the Almighty. Mr. Virendra Sehgal (Management Member), teachers and students were present on this occasion. Prasad was distributed to everyone after the Havan.

 
SN Ganju Award Ceremony
Vishwa Bharati Public School, Noida hosted one of its most coveted and yearned for award ceremonies of the year, Shri S.N. Ganju Award for Overall Excellence and Shri S. K. Shah Award for Academic Excellence on 28th October 2016 in the school auditorium.

This award was conferred on Eshita Bhat of class XI for her all round achievements. She received a medal, a certificate of appreciation, a citation and a cash prize of Rs 10, 000 in the presence of esteemed members of the school management.

Vibhu Agarwal of class XI received S.K.Shah award for having attained the highest percentage in class X in the previous academic session. She received a citation, certificate and a cash award of Rs 6000.

S.N Ganju Inter School English Debate:

Vishwa Bharati Public School, Noida organized S.N.Ganju Memorial Inter School English Debate on 16th Nov 2016 in their school premises in memory of their erstwhile Gen. Secretary, late Shri. S.N.Ganju.12 schools from Delhi -NCR region debated on the topic: India-An Indiscipline Democracy.
The judges who picked the winners were Ms.PriyankaMalhotra, Director-HRD at Nipman Fasten Industries & Ms Asha Nayar, Career Counselor, Educational training and Consultancy. MahavirDabas from Vishwa Bharati ,Noida and Purvachi Chadha from CambridgeSchool,Noida emerged Best-Speakers (for & against).The overall trophy and Best- team was bagged by the team from VishwaBharati Noida, while DPS, Noida were the runners-up.Navya Chabra from DPS, Noida bagged the Appreciation Trophy.

SPIC MACAY AT VBPS NOIDA
Vishwa Bharati Public School, Noida organized a cultural programme as a part of the Virasat – 2016 series under the aegis of Spic Macay, on 9 &10th November 2016 in the school premises.
 
 
On 9th November , Qawwal Muhhamad Ahmed Khan Warsi ji , the renowned qawwal enthralled the young audience of the school . Warsi ji’s forefathers were the musicians of Rampur states darbar . He received his knowledge of music and qawwali from his father who specialized him in qawwali styles for Sufis . He was accompanied by Shri Nazeer Ahmed Khan Warsi ji and Shri Naseer Ahmed Khan Warsi ji.
 
 
On 10th November, (second day) the versatile kathak dancer Sushri Uma Sharma gave an alluring performance. She is most known for reviving the old classical dance from natwari Nritya or the Raslila of Brindavan , which later evolved into kathak . She was accompanied by Shri Madhav Prasad , Ustad Khalid Mustafa and Ustad Mubarak Khan.
 
The Principal, Mrs Rashmi kachroo proposed the vote of thanks and in her address expressed her deep admiration for SPIC MACAY and the efforts put in by them in exposing the students the rich cultural heritage of India .
 
TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION 2016
The school students celebrated their mentor’s day with pomp and enthusiasm on 5th Sep 2016 in the school premises. Students put up a colourful cultural programme of song and dance sequences with greeting cards presented to the teachers.






 

INDUCTION CEREMONY

 

The Interact Club of Vishwa Bharati Public School, Noida organized their Induction Ceremony on Wednesday,20th July 2016.The occasion was graced by eminent Rotarians form the Rotary Club of Noida, including Club President Rtn. Shashank Agarwal and Rtnne. Anshu Agarwal and Director New Generations, Rtn. Major Dalbir Singh among other eminent members. The grand event started on a tuneful note with the shloka chanting and lighting of the Lamp.

The Interact Choir presented the melodious number "Brotherhood". After the song, the Annual Report was presented by ex-Student President Int. Yoshima Sharma.

As is tradition the outgoing student President exchanged the prestigious Interact Collar with the incoming Student President DIRInt. Eshita Bhat. Int. Renee Kaul was inducted as the new Vice President and Int. Simran Dhar, the new Secretary of the club.

The President of the Rotary Club of Noida, Rtn. Shashank Agarwal genuinely impressed by the V.B.P.S. Interact Club’s Progress set new targets for the new team and said that his expectations from the school's club were high because of the potential. The Principal of the school; Mrs. Rashmi Kakroo then addressed the Interactors and extended her gratitude towards the Rotarians for their kind presence.

 

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

 

Vishwa Bharati Public School organized The Investiture Ceremony to induct their newly elected Council Members for the current session on 29th July, 2016, in the school premises.

The announcement of the prefectorial board marked the beginning of the ceremony. Principal, Mrs.Rashmi Kakroo, Middle School Head, Primary School Head and Pre-Primary Head honoured the newly- elected office bearers by pinning the official badges and handing over the School and House flags to the Head Boy- Bilal Ashraf, Head Girl- -Soumya Bhagat, Vice Head Boy- Mahavir Dabbas, Vice Head Girl- Ritika Ghosh. Divyanshu Sharma, Dhruv Garg, Saumya Chaudhary, and Prachi Samant were inducted as the Captains of their respective Houses.

Punya and Ishit from the Middle Department, Aprameyya Garg and Kanisha Mirg from the Primary wing were elected as the Head Boy and Head Girl of their respective departments.

The Principal, Mrs.Rashmi Kakroo congratulated newly elected School Council Members and exhorted them to take pride in their new portfolios and to execute their duties with perfection.

EARTH DAY AT VBPS NOIDA

Participating teams from 25 schools in Noida and NCR region, contested in a myriad of competitions to show sensitivity and commitment in this global challenge. The various inter school competitions were based on the theme:”CARING MOTHER EARTH”.
 
The various competitions which were held were –
“Winds of change” competition-classes 4 and 5
“Nrityanjali” dance competition - classes 6 to 10
“ Speaking walls” competition -classes 9 to 12
“Mask Querading” competition - classes 11 and 12
 
The chief guest Dr. Kinkini Das Gupta (scientist F at Vigyan Prasar Department Science and Technology) was overwhelmed at the awareness programs conducted at school level and while addressing the gathering encouraged the students by telling them to conserve the resources at their individual level.
 
The results were as follows:
Teams from Somerville Noida, Amity Vasundhara and VBPS Noida bagged the First Second and Third position in the WINDS OF CHANGE competition.
In the second category, that is NRITYANJALI-The Khaitan school, Jaipuria school and VBPS Noida bagged the respective prizes.
The teams who participated and won prizes in SPEAKING WALLS were Jaipuria school , Sarla Chopra DAV and Kothari International.
The senior groups who emerged winners for MASK-QUERADING were Amity Vasundhara , VBPS Noida and Bal Bharati Noida.
 
INTER HOUSE DRY FLOWER ARRANGEMENT COMPETITION
 
‘A flower doesn't think of competing with a flower next to it. It just blooms. With this spirit, an inter house DRY FLOWER ARRANGEMENT competition was organised in Vishwa Bharati Public School , Noida on 29th April 2016. The flower arrangements were judged on the basis of Thematical Concept , Presentation of the idea, Material used and Naturalisitic intelligence . Shivam House - "Beauty and Bounty of the Earth", bagged the first position while , Sundaram House secured second position.
 
 
Annual S.N.Ganju Inter School English Debate Competition 2015




 
The Annual S.N.Ganju Inter School English Debate competition was held in V.B.P.S Noida on 30th November, 2015.The event is organised in the memory of their erstwhile General Secretary Late. Shri With the topic chosen for the competition being “Conscription – A Way To Condition The youth “ as many as twelve speakers from different schools of NCR debated for the honours. The winners were adjudged by Ms Sonia Singh (News anchor), Ms Priyanka Malhotra (Entrepreneur and social worker) and Ms Asha Nayar (NIE.Times of India).

At the end of the interesting debate wherein all the participants presented their arguments emphatically”, Step By Step “walked away with the coveted trophy.

Sarla Chopra DAV Public School, Noida was declared the Runners up.

Shivangi from’ Step By Step’ and Eshita Bhatt from VBPS Noida were adjudged the best speakers for and against the motion respectively.

INDUCTION CEREMONY OF THE INTERACT CLUB:
If your treasure is joy, and the box your heart, Then your life is a canvas, and giving your art. The formal swearing in of the new Interactors each year is one of the most significant events of the year and the proudest moment for each Interactor. The Induction Ceremony of the Interact Club for the session 2015-16 was conducted on 17th July, 2015 in the School Auditorium. The event was graced by the benign presence of eminent Rotarians from Rotary Club of Noida. Rtr. Vinod Budhiraja, President, Rotary Club of Noida, along with his hounourable wife, Rtr. Major Dalbir Singh, Director, New Generations , were present on the occasion along with other Rotarians.

The event initiated with the lighting of the lamp to invoke the blessing of the Almighty. It was followed by a beautiful choir performance on an environment day song which captivates the true essence of our love towards the Mother Nature. Thereafter, the ex-student President, Kritika Prakash, read out her report, highlighting the year’s events and exchanged her collar with the President for the session 2015-16, Yoshima Sharma. The event took a colorful and vibrant turn with a Goan dance performance by the dance group. 69 new Interactors were inducted by the Rotarians, which included Trisha (Vice- President), Priya Santra (Secretary), Shivangi Singh (Joint-Secretary) and Prateek Saha (Sergeant-at-Arms). The hearts of all the Interactors swelled with pride immeasurably as they ascended to join the elite society of the unselfish social workers of the Rotary Club.

Rtr. Vinod Budhiraja addressed the gathering, emphasizing on the notable relationship of the school with the Rotary Club. The Principal, Ms. Rashmi Kakroo addressed the students and emphasized on the need to take forward the legacy of the Interact Club and keep the torch burning bright with selfless work. The incoming student president, Yoshima Sharma read out her report, highlighting the events planned for the new session. The event concluded when the teacher in-charge, Ms. Rupinder Locham extended a vote of thanks to the Rotarians.
 












 
VISHAL KHOSA MEMORIAL CRICKET TOURNAMENT:
Vishwa Bharati Public School, Noida won the 20th Vishal Khosa Memorial Inter School Cricket Tournament for the 17th time on 22nd May, 2015. The tournament was organized and hosted by VBPS, Noida and was held from 06.05.15 to 22.05.15 in the schoolgrounds. 8 teams from NCR region ( Ryan International,Noida & G.Noida, Karl Huber, Step by Step, Noida, Modern School, Noida, Vishwa Bharati Public School, Noida ,Uttrakhand Public School ,Noida) had participated in the preliminary rounds. The finals were played on 22nd May 2015 between VBPS, Noidaand Uttrakhand Public School. The host school trounced their rival team comprehensively by scoring 299 runs after losing 3 wicket in 30 overs.

Abhinav Joshi of the VBPS, Noida was declared ‘Man of the Tournament’ and Akshat Gosain from Uttrakhand Public School was the ‘Best Batsman’ for his outstanding batting performance and for scoring highest runs in the tournament. Sabhyasabchi Jha also from VBPS, Noida emerged ‘Best Bowler’ of the series for taking 12 wickets. The Man of the Match in the finals was bagged by Abhinav Joshi of VBPS, Noida. The umpires were Mr.Lek Raj and Mr.Rajeev. A highly elated and proud VISHAL KHOSA MEMORIAL CRICKET TOURNAMENT: the host team attributed the success of his team to their dedication and hard work.

The various Inter-School Competitions were based on the theme: Exploring the Depths – Ocean Resources.

‘Paint the World Blue- Poster Competition’was opened to the students of class IV and V. The students were provided with half imperial size cartridge sheet to decorate. They were judged on artistic beauty and relevance to the theme. ‘Pedal for Greener Earth—Bicycle Rally’ was organised for the students of middle school. Students decorated bicycle/esand used innovative methods like face painting, music instruments etc. to convey their message related to the theme.

The third event was ‘Make your words weigh --- Essay writing competition’.One entry per school was allowed and using their language skills and expression students explained the importance of Ocean resources.

‘Different strokes --- Banner with slogan was 4th eventin which team of 3 students from the senior category prepared hand painted cloth banner and they were judged on presentation, slogan and innovativeness. Each team put up a strong message to safe guard the environment. They highlighted on depleting flora and fauna, rampant poaching, water crisesetc.

The judges who picked the winners for all categories were- The dynamic artists ---Mr. Pradosh Swain and Mrs. Nibedita Pattnaik, Mrs. VandanaTandon--resource person NIE, Mr. Shital Verma- National Head Design , Navbharat Times, Mr Animesh Kapoor- resource person HT PACE, a veteran teacher from the host school Ms. Raksha Sharma and Shri Anuj Sinha, Hony Chairman, Network of Indian Science Communicator Organization Delhi, Former Head and advisor Science Communication , DST, New Delhi was the Chief guest of the occasion.

The Principal of the school Mrs. Rashmi Kakroo congratulated the teachers and student organizers and thanked the Guest and judges for sparing their valuable time to visit the school and for motivating the young learners.
